EuroPaw Travel provides private pet transport and pet taxi journeys from UK addresses to the Netherlands. We collect you and your dog or cat from the agreed address, cross with LeShuttle from Folkestone to Calais, then continue through France and Belgium to the Dutch destination.
The service covers Amsterdam, Schiphol Airport, Rotterdam, The Hague, Utrecht, Eindhoven and other addresses across the Netherlands. You travel in the vehicle with your pet throughout the booked journey.

UK to Netherlands pet transport for passengers and pets
This page is for outbound journeys from the UK to the Netherlands. EuroPaw already has separate pages for Amsterdam to the UK, Schiphol Airport to the UK and Schiphol to London. Keeping the direction clear helps travellers and prevents those pages from competing for the same search.
The outbound service is private and owner-accompanied. It is not presented as a shared pet shuttle or an unaccompanied animal-delivery service.
For other countries, use the UK to Europe pet transport hub.
The road route through Calais and Belgium
The agreed UK address determines the first part of the journey to Folkestone. After the LeShuttle crossing to Calais, the road route continues through northern France and Belgium before entering the Netherlands.
The destination changes the final corridor. Amsterdam and Schiphol are not the same journey as Rotterdam, The Hague, Utrecht or a regional address near the German border. The quote and schedule should use the full addresses rather than a generic UK-to-Holland estimate.
Traffic, check-in, the Channel crossing and planned breaks can affect arrival. EuroPaw confirms the route around the actual booking instead of promising one time for every Dutch destination.
Travelling with a dog or cat to the Netherlands
You remain with your pet in the vehicle. Bring a suitable restraint for a dog or a secure carrier for a cat, along with familiar bedding if it helps the animal settle.
Keep water, food, medication, waste bags and cleaning supplies where they can be reached during the journey. Tell us about the size of the carrier and expected luggage when asking for a quote. This matters particularly for airport collections or relocations with several suitcases.
If your pet has a health condition or struggles with longer car journeys, ask your vet for individual advice. A transport plan cannot replace a veterinary assessment.
Documents for entering the EU and travelling to the Netherlands
Although the Netherlands is the destination, the pet first enters the EU through the Calais travellers' point of entry on this route. The pet's documents must be valid for that entry before the onward drive through Belgium.
For a normal non-commercial movement from Great Britain, a dog, cat or ferret usually needs a microchip, a valid rabies vaccination and an Animal Health Certificate issued by an official veterinarian. The certificate is used for the first EU entry and, under the current rules, can support onward travel within the EU while it remains valid.
Use our UK to Europe pet travel documents guide to prepare questions for your vet. Always check the latest GOV.UK guidance and Dutch official requirements before departure.
If the owner is not the passenger travelling with the pet, an authorised-person declaration and timing rules may apply. Tell us who will travel before the booking is accepted.
Planning a return journey from the Netherlands
For a return to Great Britain, confirm which travel document can be used on the return date. Dogs normally need vet-administered tapeworm treatment recorded within the 24 to 120 hour window before entry to Great Britain.
The treatment timing is based on the planned Great Britain entry, not the time of departure from the Netherlands. Read the tapeworm treatment guide and check the current official rule before the vet appointment.
Pricing a UK to Netherlands pet taxi
The quote depends on the exact UK collection address, Dutch destination, travel date, passenger count, pets, luggage and vehicle requirement. Airport waiting, route changes or other agreed requirements may also affect the final arrangement.
The current EuroPaw pricing model treats the LeShuttle ticket separately from the road-service price. The pricing guide explains how named and tailored routes are presented. The final quote should state what is included before booking.
Frequently asked questions
Can you take us from a UK address to Amsterdam or Schiphol Airport?
Yes. EuroPaw Travel can quote for Amsterdam, Schiphol Airport and other Dutch destinations from a confirmed UK pickup address.
Do you also cover Rotterdam and The Hague?
Routes can be planned for Rotterdam, The Hague, Utrecht, Eindhoven and regional addresses across the Netherlands. Send the full destination for an accurate route review.
Do I stay with my pet during the Channel crossing?
Yes. You and your pet remain with the vehicle during the LeShuttle crossing from Folkestone to Calais.
Is this an unaccompanied pet courier service?
No. The standard EuroPaw service is for passengers travelling in the vehicle with their dog or cat.
Where does the pet first enter the EU?
The first EU entry point is in France after the LeShuttle crossing to Calais. The journey then continues through Belgium to the Netherlands.
Is the return paperwork the same as the outbound paperwork?
Not always. Check the document validity for the return date and remember that dogs entering Great Britain from the Netherlands normally need tapeworm treatment within the official time window.
