Plan the right journey
The useful starting points are practical: your collection point, UK destination, travel date, passenger details, luggage and how your dog or cat travels best.
Share those details before booking and we can outline the likely road route, meeting arrangements and any costs charged separately, including the LeShuttle ticket.
How it works
We agree the collection point, passengers, pet details, luggage and travel date.
Your private vehicle follows the route from the confirmed European pickup towards Calais.
At the Calais Pet Reception, staff check the pet travel details before boarding.
You and your pet remain together in the vehicle for the crossing where applicable.
After Folkestone, we continue to the agreed UK address and destination postcode.
Owners remain responsible for ensuring their pet has the correct and valid travel documents. EuroPaw Travel can provide general journey guidance, but does not validate veterinary documents.
Typical journey
Planning example
Paris → A1/A16 → Calais → LeShuttle → Folkestone → M20/M25 → London
A Paris to London journey commonly takes around 6–8 hours, depending on collection location, traffic, pet check-in, border processing and the final London address. This is a planning example, not a customer case study.

Tell us what you are travelling with before booking so the space, route and stops can be discussed honestly.
One booking is planned around your passengers, pet and luggage.
Tell us the breed, size, number of pets and luggage so vehicle space can be discussed before booking.
For longer road journeys, suitable breaks and water stops can be planned where needed.
Your dog or cat travels with you rather than in cargo or as an unaccompanied courier journey.
Airport collection
We collect passengers travelling with dogs or cats from major European airports and continue by private taxi to the United Kingdom. Airport collection is particularly useful for passengers arriving from countries where travelling directly to the UK with a pet can be complicated or require cargo transport.
Please include your flight number, scheduled arrival time, number of passengers, luggage and pet details when requesting a quote.
Arrive with your pet. Continue together by road.
We can discuss the most practical collection point and onward route when you request your quote.
Professional standards
EuroPaw is the service operator behind EuroPaw Travel and operates with a current UK animal transporter authorisation issued by APHA.
Drivers are appropriately licensed for the journeys they undertake. We provide general travel guidance while owners confirm veterinary and border requirements with their vet and current official sources.
Coverage
Paris, CDG, Orly, Calais, Lille, Lyon, Marseille, Nice, Strasbourg, Toulouse and other French pickup points.
Amsterdam, Schiphol, Brussels, Antwerp, Luxembourg and nearby departure areas.
Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, Geneva and surrounding areas can be discussed by quote.
Folkestone, Kent, London, Sussex, the Home Counties and wider UK destinations by quote.
Planning by pet
The route can be discussed around the pet, not just the postcode.
Share your dog’s breed, approximate size, number of passengers, luggage and any travel needs. Vehicle space and current entry requirements can then be discussed with the journey plan.
Read dog transport guidance →Tell us your cat’s carrier or secure setup, the route and any practical concerns. Cats travel with their passenger in the vehicle, with the accepted travel document checked against the current journey requirements.
