Yes. We collect passengers with dogs or cats from Düsseldorf city, Altstadt, Oberkassel, Pempelfort and surrounding areas. We also cover the broader North Rhine-Westphalia region including Cologne, Bonn, Essen, Dortmund and Aachen on request - just provide your address for a custom quote.
Düsseldorf is one of the most westerly major German cities, sitting very close to the Belgian border and the E40/A44 motorway corridor that leads directly towards Calais. At around 450 km from Calais, it is one of the shortest German-to-Eurotunnel routes, making it more manageable as a single-day journey for passengers with pets.
From Düsseldorf we take the A3/A44 west towards Aachen, crossing into Belgium. We continue on the E40 via Liège towards Brussels, then north-west through Belgium into northern France, arriving at the Eurotunnel terminal at Calais/Coquelles. The 35-minute shuttle crossing brings us to Folkestone.
Düsseldorf to Calais is around 450 km, typically taking 4–5 hours depending on traffic around Aachen and Brussels. Adding the Eurotunnel crossing and onward journey, Düsseldorf to London usually takes around 7–9 hours in total. We plan departure times to avoid peak border delays.
No. Cats do not normally require tapeworm treatment to enter the UK. Cats travelling from Germany need a valid ISO microchip, current rabies vaccination and an Animal Health Certificate issued within 10 days of travel. Dogs, however, do require tapeworm treatment from a vet 24–120 hours before arriving at the UK border.
